The Restaurant & Catering Hostplus Awards for Excellence gives restaurants, cafes and caterers well-deserved recognition for their hard work, exceptional food and outstanding service in this vibrant industry. The Awards recognise operators in metropolitan and regional centres. The Awards gala dinners will be held in each state providing an opportunity for the restaurant and catering industry to come together, celebrate and network with your peers.

Who can enter the Restaurant & Catering Awards?

The Awards are open to all member and non-member restaurants and caterers. Restaurants must have been open for at least 12 months to be eligible to enter the ‘Restaurant’ and ‘Casual Dining’ categories except for new restaurants that must have been open for at least 3 months from the launch of the awards. The qualifying period for new restaurants is prior to 1 November 2024.

How many categories can restaurants enter?

Restaurants can enter as many categories as they wish as long as they meet the category definition except for new restaurants which can only enter the New Restaurant category.

How many categories can caterers enter?

Caterers can enter as many categories as they wish as long as they meet the category definition and provide the list of events or site details for judging.

What is the cost to nominate?

Nomination fees are applicable to members and non-members per category entered.

Member Restaurants - $189.00 | Member Caterers - $379.00

Non-member Restaurants - $589.00 | Non-member Caterers - $749.00

When will judging start?

Judging for restaurant and catering categories can take place any time after the entry form has been completed, payment has been processed and supporting information if applicable to the category entered has been supplied.

When will judging close?

The closing date of judging will vary in each state depending on when the state's awards event has been scheduled.

When are finalists announced?

Finalists for each state’s awards will be announced 6 weeks prior to their state awards gala dinner.

When are winners announced?

Winners are announced at each state’s gala awards dinner. Winners will not be disclosed prior to these events.
