Riviana Foodservice has launched its new ‘En Placé’ range of pestos, pastes and salsas. Developed exclusively for commercial kitchen applications, each product has been designed to be easily added to a meal at any stage of the cooking process.

The En Placé range of products offers operators versatility as well as a reduction in preparation time, labour costs and wastage. Designed to suit a wide variety of applications, they can be used in soups, pastas, salads, dips, sauces and marinades, as well as the base of special creations.

Pesto Alla Genovese – a classic pesto which includes more than 27 per cent crushed fresh basil combined with garlic, cashew nuts, Parmesan cheese and oil. Ideal for risotto, pasta, pizza and to enhance the flavours of meat or vegetables. No added preservatives, artificial flavours or colours. Shelf stable until opened – once opened, use within two weeks. Available in 1kg jars.

Pesto Rosso – made with 48 per cent tomato pulp, garlic, cashew nuts and a combination of three Italian cheese types – Parmesan, Pecorino and Hard – blended with oil. No added preservatives, artificial flavours or colours. Shelf stable until opened – once opened use within two weeks. Available in 1kg jars.

Salsa Piccante – a versatile Italian style sauce made from peppers, chilli, eggplant, mushrooms, sundried tomato and artichokes, ideal for use on bruschetta and pizza or in pasta and dips. No added artificial flavours or colours. Shelf stable until opened – once opened use within two weeks. Available in 980g jars.

Chilli Blend Paste – a fusion of spicy chillies, vegetables, mixed herbs and spices with olive oil and lemon juice, this will provide a taste of chilli without being overpowering – just a little will enhance your dish’s flavour profile. No added thickeners, gums, preservatives, artificial flavours or colours. Available in 1.1kg jars.

Crushed Garlic – the intense full flavour of crushed garlic with a splash of olive oil and lemon juice. Ideal for garlic butter, to saute meats and vegetables and as an ingredient in steak sauce. No added thickeners, gums, preservatives, artificial flavours or colours. Available in 1.1kg jars.
