Restaurant & Catering Australia has appointed Juliana Payne as the organisation’s new chief executive officer. Payne has had extensive experience in strategic and corporate operations for industry associations and not-for-profit organisations, having most recently served as head of Partnerships for CanTeen and head of Corporate Development for the National Heart Foundation.
Payne also previously served as chief executive officer of the National Tourism Alliance from December 2010 to June 2015, establishing the Tourism and Hospitality Careers Council and Australian Tourism Roundtable.
Payne replaces John Hart who is stepping down after 18 years in the role. Hart will remain with the Association as a Board director and will assist in the transition period between CEOs over the next 12 months. Hart congratulated Payne on her appointment, welcoming her to the Association.
