R&CA Benchmarking ReportAs revealed in R&CA’s 2018 Benchmarking Report, the pressures on restaurant owners’ profit margins and bottom lines are as intense as they have ever been. The proportion of expenditure across all major business expense items has either increased or remained the same from the previous financial year, from rent to electricity, to staff wages and insurance costs. 

While total turnover in the cafe, restaurant and catering sector is growing as well, it may not be enough for all businesses to cover the increased costs of staying open.
