The government’s latest IT initiative is a valuable tool for R&CA to promote businesses getting online. Is yours?
Restaurant & Catering Australia, and the State Associations, are hard at work framing up a schedule of events for the next eight months. There will also be another round of WorkChoices workshops and many tutoring sessions on the benefits of going online.
There are a large number of simple and elective products that the online environment can deliver to your business. Many can also deliver business in their own right. Wireless ‘hot spots’ are all the rage, with many diners now choosing venues that are wireless. The provision of wireless services to diners also facilitates access by your business, which can be used for banking, ordering, selling and even managing industrial arrangements. R&CA often rejects government initiatives that are only online due to the large number of restaurateurs and caterers who do not have Internet access. The government’s current IT project, however, which is part of its Building Entrepreneurship in Small Business program, provides an opportunity for us to showcase to you the latest and greatest applications.
The theme of WorkChoices, the awards and the IT sessions is consistent—doing business better! I hope we can help you to be a more profitable business.
