On September 11, Victorian restaurant Simply Spanish competed in the 56th Concurs Internacional de Paella Valenciana, held in Sueca, Spain, against 36 finalists from across the globe, including Argentina, Japan, the United States and the United Kingdom. With their rabbit and snail paella, Simply Spanish won World’s Best Paella outside of Spain.

“We congratulate our chefs Leno Lattarulo and Miguel Lattarulo, and the team, on such an amazing achievement,” said the restaurateurs in a statement.

“The winning recipe will soon be added to our menu here at home.”
