The Food and Wine Atlas is about to be launched and it will put your restaurant on the map.
Right now the association is in the thick of one of the most exciting initiatives to come out of the Action Agenda, The Food and Wine Atlas of Australia, which will be launched at the National Awards in Sydney on 30 October.
The Atlas will contain a listing for all restaurant members of state restaurant and catering associations. In addition to these listings, all restaurants judged under the awards system will have a rating (of 1 to 5) in their listing based on their result.
You will have received a piece of correspondence (email, fax or letter) giving you the opportunity to ‘opt out’ of the Atlas, should you wish to do so.
The Atlas will have an initial print run of 30,000 copies. These will be sold through the publisher—Fairfax—in newsagents, bookstores and direct mail. The association will also have copies for sale, at a members rate, from November this year.
The printing of the Atlas will position your association as the focal point for obtaining information on dining out in Australia. It will also further promote all the association’s members. The online version of the Atlas will supplement the existing restaurant guide site at www.restaurant.org.au and will be a useful resource to those looking for restaurants locally.
