The winners of the 2018 South Australian Savour AustraliaTM Restaurant & Catering Hostplus Awards for Excellence were announced last month at a gala dinner held at the Adelaide Convention Centre.
The winners across this year’s major categories included:
Caterer of the Year: National Wine Centre Of Australia, Adelaide
Cafe of the Year: Café Alere, Bedford Park
Restaurant of the Year: Magill Estate Restaurant, Magill
Several businesses were also inducted into the hall of fame in their respective categories:
Bakery/Patisserie/Dessert Bar: Red Cacao, Stirling
Fine Dining: Magill Estate Restaurant, Magill
Steak Restaurant: Gaucho’s Argentinian Restaurant, Adelaide
Thai Restaurant: Golden Boy, Adelaide
Vittorio Ventura was also announced as the recipient of the Lifetime Achievers Award for his contribution to the South Australian restaurant industry, with particular respect to Italian cuisine.
Restaurant & Catering Australia (R&CA) CEO Juliana Payne congratulated the individuals and businesses recognised as part of the state awards and praised their contribution to the SA hospitality industry.
